Integrated storytelling changes the way that businesses train, sell and present. Better than words on a page or bulletpoints on a slide, integrated stories blend words, pictures, videos, sounds and data into experiences.
Integrated stories are delivered through apps, browsers, touchscreens, goggles and other conveyances not yet invented. They marry software with storytelling in ways never before possible, transforming the way companies onboard employees, engage customers and deliver presentations. These stories are unique in that the audience participates in some way, by interacting with the content, making it their own, and sharing with others.
Joe Zeff (click for bio) has relaunched his award-winning studio in New York's Times Square to seize the potential of integrated storytelling for corporations, publishers, educators and brands. He leaves Scrollmotion, where as President/Chief Creative Officer of its creative agency he worked with companies like Apple, General Motors, JPMorgan Chase and AT&T to help them tell better stories on iPads. He draws upon his experience as a journalist — Graphics Director of Time magazine, The New York Times' first Presentation Editor — and as the app designer and developer who created Joe Zeff Design.
Joe Zeff Design set the standard for integrated storytelling on iPads, with four apps chosen by Apple as iTunes App of the Week and one in its iTunes Hall of Fame. JZD launched Fast Company for iPad and National Geographic for iPhone, designed JPMorgan Chase & Co's first annual report for the iPad, and created the official Super Bowl XLVIII app for the National Football League. Joe has been singled out as "one of America's top app designers" by The Guardian and "one of the most creative and insightful designers of our era" by Walter Isaacson, author of Steve Jobs' biography.
Joe has created illustrations for hundreds of major magazine covers, including Time, Sports Illustrated, Esquire and Fortune. His company's work has appeared on album covers (Watch The Throne by Jay-Z and Kanye West; Battle of the Sexes by Ludacris); corporate websites (PepsiCo, Unisys), national advertising campaigns (M&Ms, Porsche), and Broadway marquees (Sister Act). He has been featured by Fast Company, Adweek, 3D World and other publications, and has delivered presentations on interactive storytelling at universities and conferences around the globe.

“I’ve been working with Joe now for over 10 years and he’s become an indispensable part of my creative process. No matter how fast I need it, or how big or small the job is, or how many times I change my mind, Joe wants nothing more than to make it great. If I don’t have an idea, he’ll give me one. If I have an idea, he’ll make it better. More than any artist I’ve ever worked with, Joe Zeff knows how to take what’s in my head and make it a reality.”
