Our story . . .

We would use an app called Simple Booth (link) to capture selfies of attendees. The app captures image sequences, makes it easy to send by email and share through social media, and keeps a copy of every picture in an online database that can be streamed at the event or shared afterward.

Here’s how it works on the iPad (click to play video):

Here’s what the email looks like:

We have complete control over that email message:

Here’s what the rest of the backend looks like:

We can choose to capture live GIFs or static pictures, and we can control the number of images and speed of each GIF. We could even set up a printer at the event.

The app is expensive — $125/month per iPad. I’ve licensed it for my iPad, but you’ll need to buy licenses for any iPads you’re using in order to log in. If this is the direction you want to go, let me know and I’ll set up as many other licenses as you need, assuming one or more for Jersey City testing and one or more for the event. My plan is to discontinue my license after the event, unless you expect us to do more of these!
